Since INTRAcel Pro is non-surgical and non-invasive, you can expect little downtime, but these pointers will help speed up the recovery process and give you optimal results…
Apply an ice pack to any swelling
It’s normal to experience mild swelling in the first 1-3 days after a RF microneedling treatment, so an ice pack applied in 15 minute sessions, 3-4 times a day can help ease any discomfort. Don’t apply ice directly to the treated area though!
Use hydrocortisone cream for redness
Redness is also common post-treatment, but this can be reduced with a hydrocortisone cream applied 3-4 times a day.
Schedule for a night-in
You need to avoid make-up for the first 24 hours after your appointment, so you may prefer to book in when you don’t have plans after. Plus, don’t forget to moisturise afterwards too! We can recommend moisturisers and other products from our medical grade skincare range.
Be careful with sun exposure
Your skin will be more sensitive, so avoid using tanning beds and prolonged sun exposure for the first 2 weeks after treatment. We can advise on when’s best to book your INTRAcel Pro treatment before any holidays or events!
We suggest using SPF30 minimum on a daily basis anyway, but it’s especially important after RF Microneedling.
Drink plenty of water
This will help speed up the healing process even quicker (and is an essential for good skin health!)
