The Science behind Profhilo
There are many characteristics that make Profhilo unique from anything else available on the market right now! It is thermally cross-linked, generating stabilised hybrid co-operative complexes of H-HA and L-HA.
Despite its high HA content, it has a low inflammatory profile, coupled with pro-healing properties backed by clinical studies.
So basically this is the most natural form of Hyaluronic Acid, that works with the skin’s own cells; it is not mixed with anything artificial that could reduce that overall HA concentration, and stimulates skin healing and improvement

What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) based injectable, that works as both an “injectable moisturiser” and a bio-remodeller for sagging skin.
How does Profhilo work?
When injected precisely into the treatment area, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, to improve skin tone and the appearance of fine lines. Hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic, so it draws and holds water from your body, meaning it acts as a hydrator rather than a filler.
How long does a Profhilo treatment take?
This is dependent on your treatment plan, but a typical session takes around half an hour.
Does Profhilo hurt?
As with any injectable treatment, you may feel a slight sensation when the needle enters the skin, however many patients find it to be painless! You can have topical pain relief applied to minimise any discomfort, but it is usually not required.
When will I see results from Profhilo?
You’ll start to see rejuvenating results within the first 3-5 days, although it takes up to 28 days for Profhilo to work its full magic, as this is how long it takes for collagen production to be stimulated by the slow release of HA.
How long do Profhilo results last?
Profhilo gives results that last around 6 months – for optimal results, we recommend booking top-ups every 6-9 months.
Where can Profhilo be used?
This is typically used on the face, but it is also perfect for the body! Common treatment areas include the face, neck, decolletage, upper arms, thighs and more!
Is Profhilo safe?
Profhilo has a very high safety profile, especially if you go to an approved Profhilo provider like Dermoperfection. Our Profhilo boxes come with a hologram label which is a mark of quality, traceability and authenticity.
Is there anyone who can’t have Profhilo?
We cannot administer Profhilo if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a hyaluronic acid allergy.
Can I combine Profhilo with other aesthetic treatments?

What is the difference between Profhilo and Profhilo Structura?
Both are amazing anti-ageing treatments, however they have slightly differing outcomes. Whilst Profhilo is indicated for hydration, elasticity and overall rejuvenation, Profhilo Structura focuses on lifting particularly around the midface and eye area.
