Dermoperfection has the solution for hay fever sufferers!
Although many of us will be excited for the return of spring and summer, we know some will be dreading it with the return of hay fever season, and may even be feeling the effects of hay fever already!
Did you know that more than 10 million people are affected by hay fever in the UK?Â
Many will be asking if there is a cure for hay fever – well this year we want to help you to enjoy the spring and summer like never before!
Our medically trained team can help you to look forward to those walks in the park, sitting out in the garden, and generally functioning without the dreaded hay fever symptoms taking over the warmer months.
The most common hay fever signs and symptoms can include:
- Runny nose and nasal congestion.
- Watery, itchy, red eyes (allergic conjunctivitis)
- Sneezing.
- Cough.
- Itchy nose, roof of mouth or throat.
- Swollen, blue-coloured skin under the eyes (allergic shiners)
- Postnasal drip.
- Fatigue
So what’s the answer?
Antihistamine tablets, eye drops and nose sprays are only providing limited relief, and let’s face it are not cheap. The average pack of tablets cost £10 for 30 – think how many packs you went through last summer…
We can offer a simple solution to minimising your symptoms, with a hay fever injection!
The injection can be given any time during the season, ideally at the onset of symptoms or just before. Results are typically seen within the first 3 days, although it can take up to 10 days. Most patients are safe to drive, return to work and their daily routine straight after.
Since the injection is not a cure, but rather a way to alleviate symptoms, results cannot be guaranteed due to each patient’s immune response. You may require a second dose if your symptoms were severe at the time of your appointment.
As with all our treatments, you will join us for a consultation where you can ask more questions about our hay fever injection.
