PlaDuo
At a Glance
At Dermoperfection, we offer the PlaDuo dual-plasma treatment — an advanced, minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure designed to target a wide range of concerns with minimal downtime. The PlaDuo device is the world’s only system to utilise both nitrogen and argon plasma, delivering exceptional versatility and clinically proven results.
What is PlaDuo?
PlaDuo is a cutting-edge plasma-energy device that harnesses two types of plasma gases: nitrogen and argon. This allows for a broader set of skin-treatment modalities compared with single-gas systems. The nitrogen plasma is optimised for skin tightening, wrinkles, pigmentation and melasma; the argon plasma is effective at shrinking sebaceous glands, reducing sebum production and improving acne-prone skin.
Because of its dual-gas configuration, PlaDuo offers:
- Enhanced flexibility in treating different skin concerns
- Minimal discomfort and downtime
A modern, safe-profile treatment that’s suitable for many skin types

How PlaDuo works — the science behind the glow
- Dual-plasma delivery: The PlaDuo system emits finely controlled plasma energy via nitrogen and argon gases. Nitrogen plasma works superficially to tighten skin and improve tone; argon plasma penetrates to target sebaceous glands and internal structures linked with oil production and texture.
- Cellular stimulation & repair: The plasma energy triggers micro-thermal and non-thermal changes — stimulating fibroblasts, promoting collagen & elastin production, increasing microcirculation and initiating skin-remodelling.
- Minimal damage, maximal effect: Because the energy delivery is precisely controlled, the skin’s surface remains largely intact, reducing downtime, risk and recovery time compared with more aggressive ablative treatments.
Visible improvement: Over subsequent days and weeks, the skin’s appearance improves: texture becomes smoother, pigmentation becomes more even, tone firmer, and sebum / pore-visibility reduced (when applicable).
What can PlaDuo treat?
PlaDuo is very versatile — suitable for both cosmetic and dermatological indications:
- Fine lines, wrinkles and mild sagging skin
- Uneven skin-tone, sun damage and pigmentation issues (e.g., melasma)
- Enlarged pores, oily skin, sebaceous-gland hypertrophy
- Acne-prone skin and post-acne texture irregularities
- Skin ‘refresh’ treatments for overall rejuvenation
What results can you expect?
- Many clients notice an improvement in tone, texture and clarity within a few weeks.
- Optimal results are usually achieved after a course of treatments (e.g., 2-4 sessions, spaced by 4-6 weeks) depending on your skin and objectives.
- Because of the minimal downtime profile, you can resume many normal activities soon after treatment.
- Maintenance treatments (once or twice a year) help prolong the benefit, especially when combined with targeted skincare and healthy habits.
Treatment experience & what to expect
- Pre-treatment: Your medical practitioner will assess your skin, review your history (e.g., skin type, previous treatments, expectations) and create a tailored plan. You may be advised to avoid sun exposure, retinoids or other active treatments in the days before.
- During treatment: A topical anaesthetic may be applied (depending on the area and depth). The PlaDuo handpiece is guided over the treatment area — often you’ll feel a slight warmth or mild sensation, but minimal discomfort. The session typically lasts 30–60 minutes, depending on the area treated.
- Post-treatment: You may experience slight redness or a warm sensation for a few hours. Some micro-marks or crusting may appear depending on the intensity level used; your practitioner will guide you on aftercare (gentle cleansing, moisturiser, SPF, avoiding harsh products). Most clients can resume normal activity quickly, though you should avoid direct sun exposure and use high-factor SPF.
- Downtime & recovery: Minimal — many clients return to social activities the same day or next, although more intense settings may require a short recoup period (1-2 days) for any visible side-effects to settle.
